What do you like most about VSA?

I love the positive, friendly and supportive environment that VSA fosters and continues to maintain. VSA has become a significant aspect of not only my university life, but has reached even further to making my overall life better. I love how being in VSA, you gain friends from all sorts of places, and many become incredibly good friends to you. Being part of VSA has allowed me to understand my cultural roots, and increase my gratitude to my family and my heritage.

What would you like to achieve this year?

In VSA this year, I hope to continue on the legacy that my past executives have achieved in their terms. I wish to constantly expand VSA to not only my peers, but those in the community too. I hope to sustain all the wonderful friendships I’ve been able to make since last year, and gain more throughout this coming year. But ultimately, I hope to promote and foster the same fun and supportive environment that VSA has given to me 🙂

Anything interesting about yourself that you would like to share?

  • Anne was not meant to be my name – my parents just spelt my name wrong, thinking the ‘e’ in ‘Anne’ would make ‘Ann-ie’…
  • I got a 2nd-degree burn moonwalking into a hot motorcycle engine in year 3
  • I was so gullible as a kid, I believed my sister when she told me if I drank too much water, I’d drown
  • I love my fries #friesislyfe
  • I’m not as weird in person as I sound on here (promise).

External Vice President

What do you like most about VSA?

Engaging in the community of university student clubs, social events and the wider Vietnamese culture, VSA has expanded my reality to appreciate the assortment of personalities that the world has to offer. Accepting people from all walks of life, contributes to the growth of oneself, and VSA has allowed this paradigm to exist.

What would you like to achieve this year?

With the inclusion and expansion of each university’s respective committee members, I would like to take a step back metacognitively, and personally highlight the indestructible unity that VSA once had. I’m all for the augmentation of the tribe; just don’t leave anyone behind.

Anything interesting that you would like to share?

Nothing is more valuable than time. It is perishable and irreplaceable.
You can spend it however you wish, but you can never get it back. The quality of your life depends on how you spend that time. So don’t count the days, make the days count!
